Tholander Environmental Engineering has been founded in 1986. It has developed air pollution
control equipment and is one of the leading suppliers of odour control systems for industrial and
municipal applications.
Tholander Environmental Engineering designs and delivers chemical and biological gas
scrubbers, biofilters, activated carbon filter units as well as complete plants for the treatment of
waste gases. The company is specialized in the removal of organic contaminants and odour

The company's headquarter is situated in Viernheim near Heidelberg in Southern Germany.
Although the company started its activities in Germany, it soon spread to neighbouring countries
- export steadily increasing - especially to South-East Asia and Arabia. Tholander Environmental
Engineering equipment is working successfully in many countries such as China, Turkey, Korea,
Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Jordan, Oman, U.A.E, Saudi Arabia,
Greece, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Switzerland, Poland, Croatia, Belgium, Norway, France and Austria.
Having a worldwide cooperation network with local agents, Tholander Environmental

With a yearly turn-over of approx. 4 Mio. Euro the company employs a core staff of 15 qualified
employees, mostly engineers specialized in the fields of waste gas cleaning, chemistry, chemical
